The issue of house numbers not displayed, possibly slowing emergency responders, was discussed at the recent Somers Bureau of Fire Prevention meeting. SVFD Chiefs as well as the bureau recognize this as an important issue. Please make sure to post your house number clearly on both sides of your mailbox with numbers at least 4 inches high. The numbers must be visible from the center of the street.
