On Tuesday March 15th shortly after 2pm Somers Fire was dispatched to Hilltop Drive in the Granite Springs section of town for a reported motor vehicle fire next to a structure. Units arrived on scene and found a car fire that was quickly extending to the house. Car 2445 transmitted the 10-75 (working structure fire) while en-route bringing mutual aid and additional resources. Members were able to quickly knock down the vehicle fire and stop the spread to the house so the mutual aid request was cancelled. Units operated on scene for approximately an hour.
