** SERIOUS MVA WITH EXTRICATION**

Location: Route 139 IAO Anglefly Preserve

Description: At 5:33pm Somers Fire/EMS was dispatched to the area of the Anglefly Preserve on Route 139 for a motor vehicle accident 45-M-2 arrived on scene less than two minutes later and reported a single vehicle off the road with people still in it. 45-M-2 requested a second ambulance. Shortly after 80B5, Rescue 20, and car 2442 arrived on scene. Car 2442 established command and the crew from rescue 20 reported that extrication would be needed to remove an occupant. The crew from rescue 20 immediately went to work stabilizing the vehicle and extricating the patient while EMS crews worked to stabilize three critical patients. The crew from rescue 20 removed a door and “B” post on the vehicle to allow access for EMS crews, the extrication took approximately 5 minutes. All three patients were transported to a local trauma center by Somers EMS ambulances. During the operation Route 139 was closed. Units cleared the scene at approximately 6:30pm. Westchester EMS 40B2 handled an additional EMS calls in Somers during the accident.
