This evening over a dozen SVFD members participated in a water rescue drill on the Amawalk reservoir utilizing Marine 69. Members concentrated on boat familiarization and surface rescues. A large percentage of Somers is covered by water, with two very large reservoirs, the Muscoot and Amawalk in our district.
