Two days into the New Year and Somers Fire & EMS is off to a sprint responding to calls. Two days into the year 2023 and we have responded to 26 calls for service. Some of the highlights include:

Reported Structure Fire (Heavy Smoke From a Building)
Caller reported heavy smoke coming from a house. Units arrived to find dust from masonry and an outdoor fire pit. Negative structure fire

Butlerville Road/Butlerhill Road
Reported Serious MVA with 2 ejected and vehicle fire
Units arrived to find a single vehicle accident car into a stonewall with heavy damage. Negative vehicle fire. 2 patients were found one with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Both patients were transported to a local trauma center.

West Hill @ Heritage Hills
Reported Structure Fire
Units were dispatched to a residence in Heritage Hills reporting a fire in the oven. Car 2441 arrived and reported smoke showing from the front door. Units made entry and quickly extinguished an oven fire before it extended. A heavy smoke condition was ventilated from the residence.
