The Somers Fire District has purchased 4 brand new Blowhard Fans Quickee battery powered ventilation fans that will be going in-service over the next few days on Engines 181,183,185 and Ladder 48. They are in addition to our Blowhard Fans BH-20 battery powered fans on Rescue 20 and Engine 188. These fans are used to remove smoke and other air contaminants from buildings during ventilation operations. At full speed these fans will move 11,000 Cubic feet per minute and will run for 45 minutes straight.
