Descriptions: Engine and Tanker from Somers responded mutual aid to Golden's Bridge FD for a structure fire with initial reports of entrapment. Minutes after dispatch Engine 183 and Tanker 16 from the Lincolndale firehouse were on the road with 7 SVFD members. Tanker 16 was originally requested to relocate to GBFD HQ. Engine 183 responded to a water source and established a water source for tanker operations. Both units were eventually requested to the scene to assist GBFD with fire suppression. The fire was in a balloon frame building that presented many challenges for the firefighters on scene and was a manpower intensive operation. Somers units returned at approximately midnight. Excellent work by all department operating at this difficult fire last night.
