On Monday June 2nd shortly after 8pm, The Somers Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Route 118 and Granite Springs road for a reported motor vehicle accident. Accident was found to be on Granite Springs road and a head on collision involving three vehicles. Fire units secured the vehicles and controlled fluids while EMS evaluated possible patients. Units operated on scene for approximately an hour. During that time Granite Springs road was closed.
