SVFD members are currently going through our annual bailout training refresher. SVFD firefighters are all equipped with “bailout kits.” This equipment allows firefighters to escape from an upper floor of a building if they become trapped in a fire. Somers firefighters regularly train on this equipment to ensure proficiency.
