Last night members of the Somers Volunteer Fire Department hosted a large scale mutual aid tanker drill at PJB Fireman’s Field. There were a total of 14 tankers shuttling significant amounts of water to the scene from the fill sites. We flowed 120,000 gallons of water in 60 minutes. This drill allowed the SVFD and Mutual Aid Departments to practice their skills incase of a large scale fire within the Somers Fire District.
