At approximately 7:45 Somers FD was requested for Ladder company 48 to respond mutual aid to Mahopac for a structure fire. Ladder 48 responded as the second due ladder company with 8 members. Upon arrival the crew was split with half assisting with searches inside the building and the remaining crew opening up the roof. The crew on the roof opened up the eaves and roof area to expose the hidden fire. Somers FD units operated for about 2 hours.
