🚒MOTOR VEHICLE FIRE

Location: Heritage Hills / Lovell Street

Date/Time: Monday, May 19th, 2025 at 10:08 am

Description: Yesterday, at 10:08 am, Somers Fire was dispatched to Heritage Hills / Lovell Street for a motor vehicle fire. Units arrived on location confirming a fully involved mini van fire. Additional fire units arrived shortly after and stretched a hose line to extinguish the fire. The fuel tank ruptured so foam was also used. Additional resources were needed, so a Tanker from Mahopac and a Somers ambulance was requested to the scene. An engine from Yorktown was also requested to stand-by at our Headquarters to cover any additional fire calls in Somers while we were operating at the car fire. All units operated for approximately 2 hours before returning to service.

Thank you to all who responded, assisted us, and stood by for our calls during this time.
