The Somers Volunteer Fire Department responded to two motor vehicle accidents this past week. One occurred Wednesday October 29th at 5:22 pm. The second one occurred Saturday, November 1st at 10:32 pm.

📍Location: Route 100 / Route 139
🚨Description: Somers Fire and EMS was dispatched to Route 100 / Route 139 for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) hit head on. Upon arrival, units found a two car accident. Patients were assessed and transported to a local hospital. Route 100 was shut down from Route 139 to Parent Road during this time. The SVFD stayed on scene for approximately an hour before returning to service and the vehicles were removed from the roadway.

📍Location: Plum Brook Road
🚨Description: Last night the Somers Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Plum Brook Road for a one car rollover with reported extrication. Upon arrival, units found a single vehicle rollover and the patients self-extricated prior to arrival. The patients were assessed and transported to a local hospital. The road was closed for about an hour before Somers Fire returned to service.
