On the afternoon of May 4th at approximately 3:30PM, Somers Fire and EMS were dispatched to the area of Route 202 and 118 for a reported MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident), tree down on a vehicle with people trapped. Units arrived on scene moments later and found an accident at the intersection of Route 202 and Horton Drive. All occupants were removed from the vehicle and transported to Putnam Hospital. KBHVAC (Katonah-Bedford Hills) responded as the second ambulance since there were a total of 4 patients, all with non-life threatening injuries. At the time of dispatch Somers EMS was already operating at two other calls in the district, with the MVA being the third simultaneous call that the Somers Fire Department handled. Route 202 was closed for the duration of the accident.
