Description: Somers FD was dispatched to Lake Lincolndale for a reported motor vehicle fire near a structure at 16:48 Chief’s Lucia and Meeker both arrived on scene seven minutes later and confirmed the vehicle fire with no exposures to a structure. Shortly after Engine 185 and Ladder 48 arrived and SVFD members quickly stretched a hand line and extinguished the fire. The owner of the vehicle was treated and transported by Somers EMS to a local trauma center for burns. Approximately a dozen SVFD members operated for approximately an hour before returning to service.
