Junior Corps Live Car Fire Training

On August 13 2012 the Somers FD Junior Corps led by Engine Lieutenant Dave Luongo participated in a live fire training exercise at the Lincondale Fire House. During the drill participants practiced skills such as hose line advancement and operations as well as the use of tools in fire suppression efforts. Firefighters were able to experience a life like scenario when the car was set a blaze around 7 PM. Two attack lines were staffed by the 4 junior members in attendance and assisted by senior members and officers from the Somers FD.
