**MEMBER SPOTLIGHT MONDAY**
It is Monday, which means it is Member Spotlight Monday!
By Somers Volunteer Fire Department
July 17, 2023
Our members go above and beyond to help their communities often without recognition or praise. On Monday a new SVFD member will be chosen and given the “spotlight.” You can learn a little bit about the different members that make up our organization.
This week’s member is Dylan Mechanic: Fire Lieutenant Dylan Mechanic joined our department back when he was 16 years old! Since then LT Mechanic has never stopped training and has been a huge asset to our department! Some of the NYS firefighting training courses he has completed are; Firefighter 1 & 2, Apparatus Operator - Pump, Principles of Instruction, Accident Victim Extrication Training, Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST), and many more! As you can see LT Mechanic brings his expertise and experience to the SVFD. He takes pride in giving back to the community. We are lucky to have him as one of our Lieutenant’s and active members. Thank you for your service to the SVFD and to the Town of Somers, Lieutenant! We also would like to congratulate LT Dylan Mechanic and his wife on their new born son! Congratulations to you and your family!
